Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, a premier motorsports organization competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, is seeking a Digital Marketing and Community Engagement Manager to join our Commercial Marketing Department.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing the team’s digital marketing strategy, including social media management, content planning, CRM utilization, email marketing, and website optimization. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the team’s online presence and engage with our passionate fan base.

Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with internal team and external partners to formulate content strategies designed to support brand positioning, engage targeted audiences and deliver value to commercial partners.
- Measure and evaluate digital strategies through the use of analytics and KPI’s
- Manage vendor relationships for social media analytics and digital marketing tech stack
Social Media Strategy & Execution:
- Provide onsite coverage at various race events including but not limited to 17 NTT INDYCAR SERIES races each season and other team events.
- Manage and execute social media content planning and posting, stories and campaigns across all platforms
- Create and maintain content calendar while incorporating feedback and approval from necessary parties within RLL and team partners.
- Support broader commercial initiatives by executing social media and digital media strategies aligning with team, partner and fan engagement campaigns and events.
- Experiment with new content formats and adapt quickly to changes in social media practices and algorithms.
Partner Integration:
- Serve as primary liaison with team partners for social media content planning and execution
- Collaborate with team partners to strategically integrate messaging through social media content.
- Ensure fulfillment of all partner objectives and contractual commitments through social and digital media.
- Concept and recommend social media and digital marketing activations for current and prospective partners
- Evaluate and measure success of partnership campaigns, providing insights based on analytics and social listening
Community Management:
- Engage with the social media community by responding to comments, messages and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
- Optimize influencer outreach and engagement tactics, ensuring collaborations align with team and partner objectives while providing engaging content and strong ROI.
- Escalate concerns and appropriate feedback to the communications and leadership team as necessary.
Email Marketing:
- Lead the design, layout and copywriting for fan and partner newsletter communications
- Manage and create various lead-generating campaigns to support Business Development initiatives
- Support licensed merchandise and path to purchase with creative communications
CRM Platform:
- Assist in the management and stewardship of CRM software platform (Hubspot experience preferred)
- Work with internal teams to create and deploy CRM campaigns for lead-generation and lead-nurturing efforts
- Maintain database integration, segmentation, regulatory and compliance standards
Analytics & Reporting:
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, sentiment, etc.) to assess the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
- Provide regular reports on identified social media KPIs with recommendations for improvement.
- Use data to inform content strategies and optimize campaigns for better results.
- Monitor trends, insights, and platform updates to enhance content strategies and stay relevant in the social space.
Website:
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of team website
- Manage external website vendors and direct workflow
- Implement and advise on SEO best practices
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, Photoshop and/or Illustrator preferred
- A demonstrated knowledge of the fast-changing landscape of digital media, particularly in sports and entertainment
- Extensive functional knowledge of social media platforms and their respective audiences
- Experience with content creation in graphic design, photography, or videography is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Proficient with CRM and Email Marketing software platforms (i.e. Hubspot) highly desirable
- Working knowledge of social media analytical tools, compliance and regulatory standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Aptitude to build strong relationships with teammates and industry stakeholders to enhance dynamic and rewarding content.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in social media management, content creation and campaign execution.
- Excellent communication, grammar and copywriting skills with a strong understanding of social media best practices and appropriate tone of voice.
- Ability to travel frequently to race events and special events as needed.
