We have an opportunity for a Senior Tyre Performance Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. This role is responsible for supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization at each event, both at the track and through management of factory support. This includes guiding the development of bespoke tools for analyzing tyre performance, as well as ensuring continuous improvement of operational processes at the factory and at the track. This role also is responsible for coordinating tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation, and for providing engineering support for car development, looking at future years for expected tyre performance and behavior. Principal Accountabilities:
Working closely with the Head of Race Strategy & Tyre Performance to define the department strategic direction and plan projects around available resources.
Supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization and tyre management during the event (either trackside or from the factory).
Ensuring mandatory tyre reporting is completed on time and to a high standard
Guiding development of tyre performance tools, methods, and infrastructure
Continuously improving operational processes at the track and the factory
Developing and maintaining department administration and reporting procedures
Providing support and mentoring to junior members of the team
Coordinating tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation
Looking at future years for expected tyre performance and behavior
