We have a new opportunity to be part of our Finance team in the role of Finance Assistant.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
Process invoices from suppliers promptly.
Ensure that all invoices are matched to purchase order receipts or other records of authorisation prior to payment.
Reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure all invoices have been input on the purchase ledger.
Deal with supplier queries and accountable for resolution of any issues that arise in the course of business, both via email and over the phone.
Help ensure undisputed creditor invoices are paid within agreed payment credit terms.
Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc payables reporting and analysis.
Maintain and manage the Team’s payables ledger in the accounting system, including;
payment allocations; and
set-up of new supplier accounts.
Assisting in the preparation of payment runs, proforma and ad-hoc payments to be made from Team bank accounts
Participate in P2P workshops and PO training to educate the wider business with respect to best practice.
Accounting Processes and Control
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Other adhoc work to support the finance team as required.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Experience
Purchase ledger experience, especially in a high volume, fast paced business
Experience of working within Formula 1 in a similar role would be advantageous
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of purchase ledger best practice
Excellent organisational skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Numeracy and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
Ability to communicate information effectively verbally and in writing with use of graphical tools as necessary
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
Able to use problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
