The Role
Our Production Team Members are valuable members of our Assembly Line. They assemble vehicles by utilizing the materials and tools provided. They may also be responsible for selecting and attaching parts to vehicles or components using hoists, hand tools, machinery, or other equipment.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

You prioritize safety and ensure that all work is done in a safe manner, contributing to a culture that values safety above all else

You thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can quickly adapt to changes in job duties as needed

You are organized and actively participate in inventory control activities, such as counting and managing inventory
-
You are skilled in using tools and machinery, including operating mobile equipment to move materials within the assembly plant. This equipment could operate at heights of up to 35 feet

Physical Requirements

Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals are a must

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods

Comfortably wear personal protective equipment

Navigate a busy environment

Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach

May need to lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. depending on department

Occasional sitting during certain tasks

Drive mobile equipment when needed
Minimum Requirements
-
18+ years old
-
Eligible to work in the United States
-
Must be willing to work flexible shift hours and day, afternoon, or night shift
-
Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which includes drug testing and a background check

Proficiency to listen, read, follow work and safety instructions
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience working in auto manufacturing

Experience working in manufacturing or warehouse environment
-
Experience identifying and reporting quality defects
-
Experience operating mobile equipment or using specialized tools such as forklifts, pallet jacks, torque guns, hoists, or industrial vehicles
