Your Role
This internship position focuses on the application of power semiconductors in PV and energy storage systems, mainly involving system-level simulation analysis and system hardware design. The intern will assist the team in completing the hardware development work of PV and energy storage systems, master the application methods of power semiconductors and the design ideas of new energy system hardware.
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Assist in the selection and application verification of power semiconductors (such as IGBT, MOSFET, SiC/GaN devices) in PV and energy storage systems.
- Participate in the simulation analysis of PV and energy storage system circuits (such as power loop simulation, drive circuit simulation, thermal simulation) using tools such as PLECS, PSpice, Saber or ANSYS.
- Assist in the design of system hardware circuits (including power circuits, drive circuits, sampling circuits, protection circuits) for PV inverters, energy storage converters or battery management systems (BMS).
- Assist in the production of hardware prototypes, participate in the testing and debugging of hardware circuits, and record test data and analyze test results.
- Help sort out hardware design documents, component lists (BOM) and test reports.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Currently studying for a master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Power Drives or related majors.
- Master the basic knowledge of analog electronics and digital electronics, and be familiar with the working principle and application of power semiconductors (IGBT, MOSFET, etc.).
- Familiar with key power topologies in PV and energy storage hardware design, including Boost, buck/boost, multilevel topologies (NPC1, NPC2, ANPC), HERIC, DAB, and CLLC, with understanding of their hardware implementatio characteristics.
- Have a basic understanding of circuit design tools (such as Altium Designer, Cadence) and circuit simulation tools (such as PSpice, Saber).
- Have good hands-on ability, be able to use common test instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, power supply) to carry out circuit testing.
- Have a positive work attitude, strong learning ability and team cooperation awareness, and can guarantee 2-3 days of on-the-job time per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have participated in the design, development or testing of PV products (such as PV inverters) or energy storage products (such as energy storage converters, BMS).
- Familiar with the design standards and reliability requirements of new energy system hardware.
- Special preference for candidates with experience in single-stage topology design or application.
