MNVNA is seeking a Commodity Buyer who is responsible for managing strategic and operational purchasing activities for assigned automotive commodities, including electrical and mechanical components and systems.
The Commodity Buyer will lead procurement activities across the full sourcing lifecycle, maintain strong supplier relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Materials teams to drive cost competitiveness, supply chain efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include managing assigned commodity portfolio for cost & delivery, leading supplier sourcing, RFQ management, supplier selection, and contract negotiations, driving annual cost reduction and VA/VE initiatives through supplier collaboration, process optimization, and commercial negotiations, and developing and executing commodity strategies aligned with company objectives for cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate for this role must have 3-5 years experience in purchasing or sourcing within the automotive, transportation or aerospace industries, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering, and experience in managing forecasts, material planning, purchase orders, cost down initiatives and strong attention to detail.
This role requires a strategic and an analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience in working with ERP software, ideally SAP.
