We are looking for a cross-functional role, primarily as Procurement Team Leader to coordinate the operational activities of the Italian Plant, and in addition directly involved as Category Buyer in the EMEA organization. The role combines strategic vision and daily operations, with the goal of optimising costs, ensuring supply chain continuity, and supporting the growth of the entire organisation.
What you'll do
- Guide the procurement process for products and services, ensuring competitive costs, high quality, and punctuality in deliveries
- Manage directly some strategic product categories as Category Buyer for EMEA
- Supervise the procurement of raw materials to ensure the correct production flow
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in line with medium- to long-term business objectives
- Conduct effective negotiations with suppliers, ensuring the best contractual and commercial conditions
- Analyse expenditure and market trends to propose improvements and optimisations
- Coordinate a team of 2 people, promoting collaboration, growth, and motivation
- Monitor supplier performance and build solid and lasting relationships
- Resolve effectively any supply chain issues
- Collaborate actively with foreign subsidiaries and contribute to the Group's sustainability strategy in purchasing
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, or related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement in multinational contexts
- Background in supply chain planning considered a plus
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge preferred
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously in a dynamic environment
- Teamwork and leadership attitude
- Fluent English (B2 or higher level)
