What you'll do
You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of machined components and assemblies.
- Working on nights assuring the quality of internally and externally manufactured metallic components to the required standards.
- Carry out inspection and verification activities using advanced metrology equipment and software.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Production Control, and the Machine Shop to maintain and improve quality standards.
- Proactively participate in team and departmental meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of machining processes, inspection techniques, and quality systems.
- Work professionally, responsibly, and flexibly to meet production and quality targets.
- Undertake any additional tasks reasonably requested in line with the role.
What you need
To succeed in this role, you'll need hands-on experience with machining processes and manufacturing methods.
- Excellent working knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing methods.
- Proficient in Pc-DMIS and PolyWorks Metrology Suites.
- Hands-on experience with CMMs, Absolute Arms, Shadowgraphs, Contour Tracers, and handheld measuring tools.
- Ability to confidently interpret and work from technical drawings.
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, or similar.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
