What you'll do
The Cyber Security Operations Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of cyber crisis management & incident response procedures and processes. The successful candidate will be experienced with the deployment, management, and maintenance of security solutions (e.g., multi-factor authentication, antimalware, EDR, vulnerability scanners, etc.) and passionate about the development of an Education & Awareness strategy to instil a culture of security across the organisation.
- Lead and manage the Security Operations team and MDR provider, ensuring effective monitoring and out-of-hours response.
- Oversee and continuously improve incident response plans, playbooks and processes, ensuring rapid, coordinated handling of security incidents.
- Coordinate major security incidents, directing remediation and recovery across IT and business teams.
- Own vulnerability management — reviewing findings, tracking remediation progress and engaging stakeholders to reduce risk.
- Deliver core security operations outputs, including daily/weekly reporting, compliance scanning and email security/phishing response.
- Act as escalation point for significant security events, ensuring timely communication to the right stakeholders.
What you need
- Strong leadership experience managing cybersecurity or SecOps teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven incident response expertise, with the ability to make clear, informed decisions under pressure.
- Deep understanding of vulnerability management, threat intelligence and risk mitigation techniques.
- Knowledge of key frameworks and regulations, including ISO 27001, NIST CSF and GDPR.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex security issues for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, with experience working across IT, legal, compliance and senior leadership.
