What you'll do
You'll repair and maintain all the production equipment within the McLaren Production Centre and the McLaren Technology Centre. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing plant and equipment.
- Carrying out repair, improvement, and planned maintenance work on production equipment.
- Effective supervision of the subcontractor activities as required.
- Identification of continuous improvement of plant, equipment, and systems.
- Compliance with health, safety, and environmental policy requirements within area of responsibility.
- Effective logging and documentation of reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
What you need
A time served recognised apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical background discipline. High level of diagnostic and fault-finding experience on plc-controlled equipment.
- Demonstrable experience in system improvement.
- Good mechanical system knowledge (pumps, vacuum, pneumatics, hydraulics).
- Effective fault finding on critical production equipment.
- Experience of fault finding and maintenance activity on PC, PLC, and electromechanically controlled production equipment.
- Robust experience in a similar role and industry.
- Knowledge of automated control systems and manufacturing and process equipment is required.
