Position Summary
The Press and Influencer Fleet Lead is responsible for the overall strategic direction, management, and operation of GM’s press and influencer vehicle fleet, which includes hundreds of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles located at offices across the country. This role ensures seamless vehicle logistics, maintains vehicle readiness, and supports various public relations initiatives to enhance the company’s image through earned media, influencer loans, press and media events, paid placements, corporate PR activities, and promotional showcases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, budgeting, and management of the national media and influencer vehicle fleet, ensuring operational effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and deployment of vehicles for media and influencer engagements, test drives, events, and corporate activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, brand and product communications, technology communications, and corporate communications teams to align fleet strategies and utilization.
- Monitor and analyze event outcomes and fleet performance metrics; implement improvements as needed.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Manage vehicle procurement and service contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Develop policies regarding fleet usage, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and expenses.
- Lead and train staff involved in fleet operations, including drivers and logistics coordinators.
- Stay informed on industry trends and recommend improvements for fleet efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in communications, public relations, or marketing fleet management; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or event coordination.
- Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
- Experience working with media or in-event fleet logistics preferred.
- Proficiency with fleet management and scheduling software.
- Critical thinking skills.

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.
The salary range for this role is ($120,000 – 159,700). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
