The Role: GM Motorsports Performance Engineering is growing its team and expanding our motorsports engineering capabilities. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Motorsports Vehicle Testing and Instrumentation Engineer . In this role, you will collaborate with the GM Motorsports Testing & Instrumentation group to support NASCAR and IndyCar programs through advanced data acquisition, instrumentation, and vehicle testing. Your work will span all phases of development, from lab and track testing to race-day performance to ensure our vehicles deliver championship-level results throughout their lifecycle. What You’ll Do: Data acquisition and instrumentation of race and test vehicles Support vehicle testing at various stages: track, lab, and race environments Collaborate with racing programs throughout their lifecycle Perform test data analysis during and immediately after tests/races Travel is regularly required as well as live support may be requested for track tests, lab tests, and select key races What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications): 2+ years of motorsports experience Professional Racing Data Acquisition experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on test data Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Willingness to travel occasionally for live support at tests and races Participation in racing, either professional or amateur, highly desired This job may be eligible for relocation benefits What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Bachelor of Science in Engineering Experience with Cosworth Pi DAQ Systems Experience with Motec i2 DAQ Systems Wind Tunnel experience Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics and/or Aerodynamics DFSS Black Belt #LI-LP2
