The Role:
The Container Program Management Supervisor is responsible for launching multiple future programs across GMNA. This includes managing a team of Program Managers to ensure on time delivery of specialized container fleets while managing capital projects. Additional activities include collaborating cross functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Engineering teams to reduce capital investments and operational costs. As a Supervisor, this position is responsible to make sure that their teams meet program milestones and minimize spend with cost savings initiatives. This requires strong communication, organizational skills, and understanding how to deliver multiple programs on time, with quality, and meeting or exceeding budget. There will be buyoffs, plant reviews, critical meetings, and other events requiring employee to travel and participate as needed.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

Manage and develop a team of Container Program Managers, who represent the containers planning and development to vehicle program teams

Responsible to meet KPI’s: deliver specialized container fleets on-time, with quality, under budget

Manage workload across the team, ensuring KPIs are met on multiple programs with overlapping timing

Generate innovative ideas and challenge the norms to drive cost reduction to GM’s bottom line and improve efficiency of team

Focus on technology improvements and enhancements for data visibility, program vs program benchmarking, and redevelopment of KPIs

Container Program Financial AR (Capital/Expense) estimating, forecasting, spending, and approval responsibility

Cross functional communication and escalation as launch issues are identified

TEC business case development & solutions required to aid in decision making (balancing between container investment, logistics cost, mfg cost, and piece price)

Required to communicate program status report outs to Senior Leadership and escalate critical issues
Yours Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

5+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, packaging engineering, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development

Excellent oral and written communication skills

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

Basic knowledge of engineering techniques and manufacturing processes

Proficient in MS Office suite

Strong Communicator with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional meetings

Strong data analytics ability

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously

Results driven with high levels of urgency and pro-activeness

Ability to travel up to 15% of the time within North America and International

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field

Knowledge of Manufacturing, Equipment & Processes within Stamping, Body Shop, General Assembly, and Propulsion

Previous experience with Launches and Manufacturing Plants
