Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Charlotte Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

We are seeking interns for the Motorsports Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Team to do complex analytical work that would positively contribute to the bottom line of our culture and our company. You would have the opportunity to gain experience in supporting the simulation team in the development of state-of-the-art tools for vehicle simulation and performance analysis.
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuit of a Masters or PhD degree in one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or a related field

Must be graduating between December 2026 - June 2029

Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, tire modeling and/or suspension kinematics

Project level experience implementing vehicle simulation models or vehicle level controllers.

Ability to program at an intermediate level in Python, C++, or MATLAB

Knowledge of numerical optimization methods

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team, as well as work independently.

Strong organization skills, forward thinking mentality, and a superb attention to detail

Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment, with exceptional work ethic and integrity
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience implementing vehicle dynamics models in Dymola/Modelica or CasADi experience through coursework or projects
- Previous experience or research work on multibody dynamics, Model Predictive Controllers (MPC), optimal control problems
- Ability to program in C++
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2026.
