The Director of Digital Transformation will provide strategic leadership to ensure that enterprise and process architectures, technology initiatives, and transformation programmes are fully aligned with the corporate strategy. They will lead and inspire teams to deliver measurable business value through innovative, scalable, and cost effective technology solutions that enable sustainable growth and organisational excellence.
What You'll Do
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Strategic Leadership - Translate corporate goals into actionable digital architecture, processes, and programmes.Roadmap & Investment Planning - Develop and communicate transformation roadmaps and investment strategies in key platforms.Enterprise Alignment Ensure technology priorities are tightly integrated with enterprise strategy and vehicle programme requirements.Programme Delivery Oversee execution of digital initiatives, ensuring delivery of measurable business value.Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships with C-level executives, business leaders, IT, and programme management to align and deliver transformation goals.Team Leadership - Lead and mentor the transformation team to high performance.IMPACTTypes of roles managed by jobholder:– Managing a team comprising of Enterprise Architect, Integration Architect, Business Architect, Process Architect, Technical Architectand Programme Manager.Key Financial Measures:– Direct influence on business competitiveness, cost optimisation, and operational excellence. – Shapes long-term IT investment decisions, balancing innovation with financial discipline. Key Stakeholders:– Collaborating with C-level and transformation leaders across the business to shape and agree the strategy and roadmap.– Align with Vehicle Programmes on enterprise capability requirements.– Obtain guidance from technology suppliers and internal technology teams to inform the strategic priorities.– Work with operational leaders and other internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of capabilities are successful

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Experience– Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.– Extensive experience in senior IT/technology leadership roles.Business Knowledge:– Deep understanding of Product Development within the Automotive industry.Essential Functional / Technical Skills:– Experience with a broad range of Enterprise Technologies.– Strong grasp of enterprise and process architecture.– Financial and commercial acumen for business case development.Personal Attributes / Competencies:– Collaborative and inclusive leadership style– Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts– Organisational change management expertise and stakeholder engagementEducation/Qualifications – Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent
