What to Expect
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our production team to produce components for a range of McLaren high-performance sports cars.
What You'll Do
The role will work as part of a multi-functional team, reporting to a Production Team Leader. The role encourages involvement in improving performance for the team, in quality and cost control, productivity and areas of safety. Understand and follow detailed work instructions / SOP’s Ensure that all station operations are completed to the required quality standard.Ensure that all operations are completed in the required timescale (Takt time).Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity.Attend the workplace on a regular and timely basis, informing the Team Leader of any lateness or unplanned absence in a timely manner.Ensure the work area is clean, tidy, and orderly at all times in line with McLaren expectations.Maintain a neat and orderly appearance within the workplace, using the uniform/ clothing provided.Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested.Understand and adhere to the McLaren Values and help grow the company.
What You'll Bring
Knowledge, skills & experience: No formal qualifications are necessary; however, experience within automotive or manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.Prior experience of working as part of a team is desirable as well as experience of working to timescales. Personal attributes: Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.Able to adopt a professional and mature attitude to work and other people.Enthusiastic, and highly self-motivated.Proactive - takes opportunity to use initiative where possible.Team player – supports other team members, department strategies and processes.Determined – results focused, driven to do the very best possible.Flexibility towards overtime when available.Excellent attendance and time keeping
