Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as on-site. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to SGMW in Liuzhou, Guangxi full time.
The Role -
To oversee and manage all manufacturing operations with accountability to achieve GM strategic manufacturing goals at SGMW , including production efficiency, safety and quality standards, optimizing processes, and influencing the local manufacturing team effectively in daily working with the local team.
Responsible for implementing lean manufacturing practices utilizing GMS principles to drive operational excellence at SGMW.
Play as a key strategic role in continuous improvement initiatives to drive the overall plant manufacturing performance through building a good relationship with SGMW manufacturing leadership team by effective collaboration and contributing to business goal as well as organizational development and optimization.
What You’ll Do -
- Safety:
- Promoting the implementation of GM's global safety actions in all SGMW plants to ensure GCTA (Global Call To Action) is implemented in place.
- Effectively integrated GM China's safety team into SGMW's safety culture and improvement initiatives to enable SGMW compliance with GM global safety regulations.
- Proactively involving in GM China's regular GMAS (GM Audit services) audit and LPS (Loss Prevention Survey) audits in SGMW.
- Quality:
- Fully utilize various GM quality tools to ensure SGMW product quality target is on track by GM and compliance to GM global quality standard.
- Facilitating the adoption of GMS and BIQ systems within SGMW to ensure effective implementation and compliance.
- Responsiveness:
- Ensure the successful execution of the production plan for each SGMW plant, achieving 100% compliance in build and shipment..
- Driving the timely launch of all new projects, ensuring they meet established quality targets.
- Cost / Lean Manufacturing:
- Providing guidance to local manufacturing team in achieving manufacturing cost targets by ensuring the Cost Per Vehicle (CPV) and Cost Per Unit (CPU) align with established objectives.
- Collaborate with China MFG GMS team to effectively integrate GM’s lean manufacturing tools in SGMW plants for ongoing cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
