What You'll Do?
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will lead and support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes within your assigned area. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met, quality standards are upheld, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented effectively. Your role will be key in driving operational excellence through lean principles and technical leadership.
Responsibilities

Analyze and implement product or machinery designs to determine the most efficient manufacturing methods.

Propose and evaluate equipment and process improvements in the assigned area.

Direct the design, development, and enhancement of manufacturing processes.

Provide technical support for specific plant operations.

Maintain regular interaction with design, product, and manufacturing engineering teams.

Monitor and evaluate expenditures related to processes and equipment.
-
Lead and manage engineering projects.
-
Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate departmental quality goals.
-
Implement systems to prevent recurrence of known issues.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management.

Ensure consistent administration of National and Local Agreements with the United Auto Workers Union.

Effectively utilize personnel, materials, and equipment.

Participate in the selection, training, development, and evaluation of salaried and hourly employees.

Lead Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) processes across multiple departments.

Support launch and pilot activities in assigned areas.

Meet or exceed production cost schedules while maintaining quality requirements.

Promote safe work practices and meet objectives related to ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping.

Ensure team members receive adequate Job Instruction Training (JIT).

Apply lean manufacturing and synchronous principles to meet production schedules and product requirements.

Coach, mentor, and support Group Leaders in their responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechatronic Engineer and all Engineering related or related experience.
Required experience in similar position: 5 years.
English Level: Advanced.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a high-volume production environment.
