The Material Logistics Analyst position’s focus is to drive operational performance for Inbound Logistics cost through operational actuals analysis, KPI drivers, cost savings and stop spending activity, serving as the bridge between Planning and Execution. The Material Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing total logistics CPU operational performance for their responsible plants. This position requires a basic understanding of Logistics, Finance, and Operations. The position will work cross functionally with GM Planning, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Finance.
Specific responsibilities include:

Analyzing inbound logistics cost drivers and performance, review operational actual versus planned cost to develop action plans to improve performance and explain deviations to plan

Track and use KPIs for cost driver opportunity and utilize operational actuals to drive improvement

Leading the inbound logistics operational efficiency opportunity identification, project management, cost control and CPU governance activities for select Assembly, Propulsion and Stamping Plants

Lead inbound logistics launch process, working with several partners including planning, suppliers, plant, purchasing, and supply chain to complete key activities in support of flawless launches (optimal design at minimal cost) and project manage the Logistics MasterDot

Host weekly calls and meetings with key stakeholders regarding implementations, cost control and CPU governance.

Manage daily governance of operational actuals mitigation plan spend when plant over target.

Manage spot buy reason and invoice approval process

Requires a basic understanding Logistics, Finance, and Operations and works cross functionally with Logistics Engineering, Planning, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Finance.

Ability to drive improvement through OpEx and/or cross-functional project leadership and execution.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience

2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics or product development

Ability to lead problem solving activities and manage project timelines

Capability to concurrently manage multiple cost saving/stop spending operational improvement projects and initiatives

Ability to analyze basic financial data and identify cost drivers
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
