Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK. What you need? The mindset of an athlete. Who we're looking for
We are seeking an experienced SECU & vTAG Software Engineer to take ownership of our SECU and vTAG software development. You will coordinate feature requests, manage bug fixes, and maintain an overview of all software tasks within the group, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of high-quality code.You will focus on long-term, continuous development of our software environment — delivering robust, efficient, and innovative solutions.
Your mission
Lead SECU and vTAG software development from concept to deploymentCoordinate and prioritise feature requests, improvements, and bug fixesDevelop, test, and maintain Simulink-based models for deployment on the SECUCollaborate across disciplines to ensure robust integration of softwareDrive continuous improvement of workflow and development processes (including CI/CD)
Your profile
Proven experience in a similar role within Formula 1 or a comparable high-performance motorsport environmentExpert knowledge of MATLAB and SimulinkSolid background in mathematical modelling and first-principles physicsExperience with CI/CD processes and toolsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExcellent problem-solving and communication skills
