AP Racing is proud to offer an Industrial Engineering placement opportunity to undergraduates who are seeking a year’s industrial experience within a globally recognised company. This placement is to begin in July 2026 and the details are as follows:
Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, this role is pivotal to the design of tooling and equipment for various production processes.
Undertake the design, delivery and commissioning of equipment required to manufacture and test component parts in line with business project requirements.
Liaising internally and externally; with multiple departments and suppliers.
Development and optimisation of existing equipment and processes in order to ensure production continues to be cost effective and to maintain the highest quality standards.
Desirable Engineering Skills
Knowledge of small tooling for assembly and semi-automation.
2D Technical Drawing.
3D CAD Modelling.
Microsoft Office Suite.
What We Want From You
Undergraduate studying an engineering degree for at least 2 years, on track for a 2:1 or above. (Automotive, Aerospace, Mechanical or similar)
Willing to learn new skills, good at problem solving with an innovative approach.
Passion for engineering, willing to work proactively and be self-motivated.
Willing and able to work within a team and communicate effectively.
Applicants must be returning to university to finish their degree after completion of the placement in order to be considered eligible.
