This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year. The role will commence in August 2026. Please ensure that you have read and understood the requirements of the role before applying.
Job Purpose
Support the Porsche Cars GB Press team in daily duties, managing incoming requests to the department via phone and e-mail, supporting the PR team with adhoc requests, assisting with department financial admin tasks, coordinating internal news updates, overseeing monitoring of print and digital publications and social media channels, supporting the PR team on events, and liaising with media on travel logistics. There will be occasional involvement in special activities that take place out of normal office hours, and sometimes in unusual locations.
You will also be representing the Press team in the intern working groups and collaborating with fellow intern colleagues on special projects across the wider business. These will have a particular focus on our national charity partner, Place2Be, as well as related CSR activities.
Core Specific Responsibilities
- Handle and respond to basic media enquiries and requests.
- Collate, review and archive media coverage.
- Be responsible for updating internal press coverage and internal news, in particular cascading a weekly newsletter distributed to the PCGB community and Centre network, created by the Assistant Press Officer.
- Assist with press car booking requests and documenting required media information.
- Compile relevant press information for each press car booking.
- Monitor central press inbox on a daily basis.
- To work on special PR projects, as and when required.
- Provide assistance at media launches and events.
- Assist with research and content for Porsche press releases.
- To offer pro-active and creative ideas to enhance the PR programme.
- Monitor the PR department budget and assist with purchase order and invoice processes.
- To be active participant in the Intern Project.
- Opportunity to support PR team for a day at Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, ahead of formal start date, to help with orientation and get to know the Press Office function.

Requirements
- Study Specification: PR, Marketing, English Language or a Communications related degree.
- Required IT-skills: Social Media literacy and MS Office familiarity.
- Required language knowledge: highly proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Other requirements: experience in a customer-facing job and full UK driving license.
