Description:
- Performs root cause analysis of complex quality problems utilizing tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, Projects, or SPC).
- Participates in driving continuous quality improvement activities for plant manufacturing issues.
- Coordinates cross-functional quality improvement/issue resolution teams to address repetitive issues and quality improvement with a focus on preventative measures.
- Implements and validates effectiveness of process controls and inspections.
- Supports key process characteristics while developing and steering implementation of control mechanisms.
- Steers quality topics in daily Work Organization.
- Ensures relevant BMW standards & specifications are met to achieve quality product results.
- Leads investigations from product audits regarding defect landscape & indicator results.
- Reports status updates of open topics in Technology department meetings.
- Collaborates and supports quality planning for series production.
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.

- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
