Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Lead Vehicle Performance Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will oversee the vehicle performance simulation, analysis, model development, and simulator operations, ensuring that every aspect of vehicle dynamics is optimized for peak performance. You will lead a team of engineers and work collaboratively across departments to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement in performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of vehicle performance engineers in executing performance and simulation projects.
- Define and manage the strategic direction of the vehicle dynamics department.
- Collaborate with Design, Aero, Strategy, and Race Engineering teams to enhance vehicle performance.
- Drive short-term and long-term performance initiatives, focusing on simulator operations and tire model development.
- Implement new simulation and analysis tools to improve data accuracy and speed.
- Support race event analysis and provide feedback for continuous performance improvement.
- Develop efficient reporting and documentation processes for the department.

What do you need to bring to the team?
- Significant experience in motorsport performance engineering or vehicle dynamics.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Simulink for developing simulation models.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- In-depth understanding of vehicle physics and data analysis.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, fostering collaboration across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
