As a Senior Specialist Customer Data Delegate, you will play a critical role in supporting and driving initiatives that strengthen BMW’s customer-centric organization. You will ensure the responsible management of customer data by implementing the Customer Data Governance Framework, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements. Additionally, you will oversee risk mitigation strategies and data-related standards across systems and applications within your area of responsibility.
What awaits you?
- Ensure the compliant and secure handling of customer data in alignment with legal regulations, internal corporate policies, and relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation measures related to data privacy, information security, and customer data integrity.
- Act as a primary point of contact for business process owners on topics related to customer data risks, vulnerabilities, and incident response.
- Support the ongoing development of a customer-centric data culture by promoting best practices in data stewardship and customer data lifecycle management.
- Drive alignment of data standards, contribute to the definition of consistent data models, and promote a lean, scalable IT architecture.
- Facilitate vulnerability assessments, including penetration testing and patch implementation for systems under business ownership.
- Collaborate with Data Protection and Privacy Officers (DPPOs), compliance teams, and IT stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment with privacy and cybersecurity frameworks.
What should you bring along?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Legal or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in data protection, governance, compliance, or related domains, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proven ability to drive the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong customer data processing in close alignment with the customer data governance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in solving customer data incidents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
