Job Purpose
As systems specialist, work closely with people internal and external of the organization, applying analysis and design techniques, expert business domain knowledge, and expert knowledge of the systems deployed therein, to solve business problems using information technology solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Act as Technical Scrum Master and Manage Agile Project Planning and Execution for Procurement and Supplier Operations applications.
Guide the business and IT teams through transition from Waterfall to Agile delivery and introduce DevOps principles to the technical ecosystem.
Create Dashboards using tools like Jira, Crystal Reports and PowerPoint to report project status on a daily and weekly basis to stakeholders and IT management, which includes risk, resource planning, and assured delivery within the Service Level Agreement (“SLA”).
Analyze, Evaluate, and Gather Business Requirements and Work with the Business Team to Identify Opportunities for Improvement in Purchasing and Supplier Operations applications.
Work closely with business teams and product owners to define the project scope, manage requirements, and plan for future system enhancements.
Perform systems and business analysis and document business requirements, business processes, systems processes, and technical specifications.
Prepare low-level design and impact analysis documents for system changes, document workflow, and functional use cases.
Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) to Provide Expertise and Support to Ongoing Projects within Supply Chain Domain on the .NET and Java Platform.
Assess current systems architecture state and propose future state with appropriate road maps for the modernization of systems in the supply chain domain.
Support multiple project teams in the supply chain area and provide technical leadership, enhancement planning, and system quality reviews.
Mentor development team and help with assignments.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor (BS - level) degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or Engineering or related field of study and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience:
5 to 10 years of IT business work experience
1 year technical Scrum Master
1 year project management
Other qualifying skills:
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience with Agile scrum practices and/or methodology
Strong understanding of IT project management principles (Waterfall and Agile)
Working knowledge of SQL
Understanding of software development and ability to navigate through code with logical understanding
Strong technical knowledge of application development, maintenance and support
Working closely with other developers, designers, business and systems analysts
Good organization, time management and prioritization
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Participate in the evaluation and selection of right technology, tools, methodologies, etc.
Knowledge of information systems from functional and technical perspective
Experience using Jira, Atlassian Confluence, Clarity, and other related IT tools
SAFe Agile experience
RTE (Release Train Engineer) training or certification will be a plus.
