Tasks
The Complete Vehicle Validation department is responsible for implementing effective verification and validation management in vehicle projects and bears overall responsibility for effective validation using physical and virtual methods in all phases of the product development process.
In virtual complete vehicle validation, the latest vehicle concepts are evaluated from the customer's perspective. Real and virtual models are used to bring specific vehicle functions to life in the early stages of the product development process.
During your internship, you will gain comprehensive insights into the Porsche working environment and support us either in virtual reality or driving simulation.
Virtual Reality
In the area of ??virtual reality, you will support us in the deployment and further development of VR applications, focusing on the following tasks:
Tasks
Collaboration in the development of a VR visualization application (virtual reality) in Unity3D or Unreal Engine
Preparation and integration of content into existing VR visualization applications
Coordination and implementation of extensions to the VR visualization application based on the requirements of the vehicle development departments
Participation in the organization and implementation of virtual full-vehicle testing or other subject studies
Requirements
University degree with a focus on programming or media design
Knowledge of software development with game engines such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine
Programming experience in the object-oriented programming languages ??C# or C++
Experience in creating 3D content in common 3D graphics software, ideally Cinema4D
Knowledge of VR technology such as VR headsets, tracking systems, etc.
Driving Simulation
In the area of ??driving simulation, you will support us in the deployment and further development of dynamic driving simulators, with the following key tasks:
Tasks
Support in the integration of vehicle functions (e.g., highly automated driving)
Collaboration in the optimization of a dynamic driving simulator with regard to realistic driving behavior (e.g., audio, motion cueing, visualization, etc.)
Integration of components and control units into the system network
Participation in the organization and implementation of virtual full-vehicle testing or other subject studies
Requirements
University degree with a focus on automotive engineering or a comparable engineering degree
Experience in the use of MATLAB and MATLAB/Simulink
Technical understanding of complex, interconnected systems
Programming experience in object-oriented programming languages ??(e.g., C# or C++)
Ideally, knowledge of vehicle communication (CAN, CAN FD, FlexRay, Ethernet, etc.)
