Hendrick Motorsports is currently seeking a Retail Operations Manager for our Charlotte, North Carolina complex. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Team Store.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Manage the presentation and display of all products for retail sale on-campus.
- Work with licensing department to determine product needs for retail.
- Work with vendors on ordering product, receiving, appearance, and delivery.
- Manage all retail sales employees and coordinate scheduling and days off.
- Responsible for weekly sales and store traffic reports, as well as quarterly royalty reports to licensing department for qualifying product.
- Work with internal and external partners to maximize revenue and strategic sales opportunities.
- Manage and activate advertising plans to attract customers, as well as working with events department to coordinate maximizing opportunities for new visitors and when visitors will be on campus.
- Work with licensing department for promotional activations involving new and existing products.
- Responsible for maintenance and stewardship of inventory levels that coincide with sales trends to limit inventory risk and maximize revenue potential.
- Balance daily transactions and cash deposits with accounting.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Licensing.

Desired Education:
Associate or Bachelor degree in Business or a related field
Education/Experience:
5+ years experience in retail required. Excellent managerial skills and ability to lead a team. Exceptional customer service skills. Requires solid understanding of retail and operations processes and procedures. Solid understanding of purchasing, inventory control, and basic accounting principles.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project. Knowledgeable on multiple inventory and purchasing programs, time keeping programs, etc.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Role is not remote and must regularly be performed in the assigned office location. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Limited travel may be required.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Must be detail-oriented and able to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to manage multiple and diverse priorities. Must be good with details and able to adapt to a changing environment. Strong team building and goal setting capabilities. Able to collaborate with other managers to achieve common goals. Highly organized and detail-oriented
Physical Demands:
Requires vision (distance, depth) and sense of touch. Constantly lifts/carries up to 20 pounds and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Frequently stands, walks, sits, manually manipulates, reaches outward, speaks, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 40 pounds. Occasionally reaches above shoulder, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, grasps, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
Environment Demands:
Primarily works indoors.
