Quality assurance and improvement in aviation
In aviation, safety and reliability are key. Our composite materials play a crucial role in aircraft construction and must meet the highest standards. As a Process Engineer with a focus on statistical analysis, you will monitor and improve our production processes so that we continue to meet these requirements.
You analyze process and product data to identify deviations and help find the causes. Sometimes it involves fine-tuning existing production steps, sometimes more in-depth investigations such as Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and 8D reports. In addition, you work with customers to properly draw up specification agreements: can we meet the requirements, or is more space needed? How accurately can we control and measure? To substantiate this, you help assess the reliability and accuracy of measurement methods.
At the same time, you keep an eye on important key process characteristics and signal deviations that can affect product quality. This helps us to continuously improve our processes and offers starting points for an increasingly preventive approach. Think of learning to interpret control systems, so that we can recognize deviations earlier in the future.
What you actually do:
Performing statistical analyses on process and product data (e.g. SPC);
Identifying trends and deviations and helping to identify the causes;
Supporting improvement processes by monitoring the effectiveness of changes;
Provide input and advice on product specifications and help substantiate realistic agreements with customers;
Evaluating measurement methods and analyses to reliably interpret measurement results;
Monitoring key process characteristics and identifying deviations;
Contribute to the development of a preventive maintenance strategy, including by learning to work with machine control systems.
