We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electronics Support Engineer - Trackside to join our championship winning team, ensuring we provide and coordinate the Electrical and Electronic on-car system support for Test and other events where necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
- Primary point of contact for none race event Electrical and Electronic Trackside operations.
- Coordinate and control all aspects of the on-car Electrical and Electronic system, including event and failed component reporting, fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Ensure that the assigned chassis is correctly built and tested, produce the electronic matrix documentation to fulfil the requirements set out on the event build specification prior to arrival at the event.
- Maintain the Support Engineer rack training environment and provide coaching and assistance to both new Support Engineers and current Support Engineers using this for training and testing purposes.
- Have a full and up to date understanding of the FIA Technical and Sporting regulations.
- Communicate all build issues to the appropriate design function via good communication, and the Project tracking system.
- Attend trackside events in a professional capacity; adhere to the standards set in the Race and Test team manual.
- To plan and coordinate OPS room support.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience working with electronic systems within motorsport.
- Knowledge of the McLaren Applied SECU and Atlas would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem analysis.
- The ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to be flexible as and when required.
