The Safety and Security Coordinator, you'll support the Safety, Security & Resilience (SSR) Director by effectively supporting with the coordination and administration the HSE and Security functions within the Directorate, including the day-to-day coordination of all safety and security related suppliers.
The Role
As the Safety and Security Coordinator, you’ll be our key point of contact on the scope, processes and performance of our safety and security suppliers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the day-to-day relationship with the key global safety and security suppliers in collaboration with other members of the HSE team where necessary.
- Supporting the SSR Director by monitoring the operational and financial performance of all safety and security suppliers, ensuring that contracted terms, key objectives, agreed SLAs/KPIs, and agreed budgets are met.
- Attending races and conducting inspections and audits of our suppliers.
- Producing reports detailing observations, positive and constructive findings, and any recommended remedial or improvement actions.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for driving value and efficiency throughout all safety and security supplier engagements in collaboration with other internal stakeholders as necessary.
What we're looking for in you
We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative individual with a passion for safety and security. The ideal candidate will have:
- Some experience in the coordination or management of suppliers/vendors.
- An understanding of HSE and/or security practices in the workplace.
- Experience with data analysis and documentation review, with the ability to review proposals from suppliers, or performance/incident data and translate into templated reports.
- The confidence to address operational performance issues with suppliers and escalate as necessary.
- The ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
- Due to the nature of this role, you would need to be able to travel to races as required, up to 4 times per race season, with each trip lasting approximately one week.
