Your Role
Working in the Broadcast function of the Media Team, you will manage andoversee the broadcast operation at multiple Formula E race events. You willbe a key link between the host broadcaster, rights holding broadcasters and Formula E, both on event and in the office during planning stages.
Your role will lead on the facilitation both on-site and remote of Formula E’sappointed host broadcaster. Your aim being to facilitate them producing the best possible programming.
Alternating as on-site lead with the Senior Rights Holding BroadcastOperations Manager, you will seek to ensure operational delivery of services to customers and suppliers alike.
Key Deliverables
- Work closely with the Senior Broadcast Operations Manager and the Broadcast Services Manager in the delivery of all Formula E race events
- Oversee day-to-day operational management for the department facilitating editorial, technical and commercial colleagues in their delivery
- Support the Formula E suppliers to deliver against their SLAs and KPIs
- Manage the booking of accreditation, catering and runners to support the broadcast team
- Work closely with other departments within the Formula E ecosystem to ensure all branding, furniture, and signage requirements are in place
- Attend daily operational meetings and raise key issues on behalf of suppliers
Operations Project Management:
- Confidently represent the FE Broadcast team at large-scale planning meetings
- Strong organisational skills to oversee multiple projects and race events at different stages of delivery
- Assist on new production innovations to ensure the quality and efficiency of the broadcast output
- Assist on the event scheduling of Formula E and broadcast resources to obtain best value
Client-Facing Services:
- Assist the on-site production support services desk with a calm and proactive approach
- Escalate issues in a methodical and detailed manner
Production Paperwork:
- Build delivery schedules for events ensuring that the broadcast suppliers align with all interdependent departments
- Confident with learning new technology systems to update online portals and input into scheduling software
- Raise purchase orders, build presentations, compile debriefs and reports as required.
- Manage cost tracking to appropriate budget lines where required
What We Are Looking For
Experience required:
- Experience in the broadcast industry
- Proven skills supporting on the delivery of a large-scale broadcast product
Knowledge required:
- Industry knowledge of broadcast technology, distribution and content platforms
- Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
Skills and aptitudes required:
- Excellent organisational skills including budget planning and overseeing large multi-skilled crews
- Proven customer services skills in changing cultural environments
- Excellent spoken and written English, additional languages beneficial
- Strong core computer skills
Interests:
- Be excited about global travel and working on Formula E events around the world.
