Take the wheel of an exciting opportunity! This role is essential in supporting race operations and overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of RLL transporters, adhering to state and federal regulations. Be part of the action and help drive our team to victory!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow RLL procedures to ensure transporter, pit and support equipment is prepared, and appearance meets RLL standards
- Ensure that all laws and regulations of the DOT are maintained.
- Maintain all records and logbooks as mandated by DOT and RLL
- Maintain a driving record that is professional and to the standards of RLL.
- Proper and timely reporting of all traffic incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, violations and damage to tractors, trailers, and equipment
- Loading, unloading, transportation of all cars and equipment required for each event
- Unloading, garage, tent and pit area set up at each event
- Tear down and load up as directed at each event
- Ensure work areas in trailers, tent area and garages are clean and maintained
- Maintain pit area set-up and function, monitor nitrogen and fuel levels
- Maintain and service motorcycles, pit carts and equipment, check fuel levels daily
- Assist in show car transportation or any RLL transportation requirement.
- Maintain truck and transporter supplies, consumables, and track work inventories
- Work with chief mechanics to assist with work at events.
- Assist with purchasing department in shop related errands.
- Assist in wheel inventory, maintenance, and NDT testing requirements.
- Manage event set up tires as well as special requests for Firestone related mounting and dismounting for events.
- Work closely with engineering to gather and maintain tire data and TPMS sensors
- Organize and maintain essential equipment, spare and optional parts.
REQUIRED - Extensive travel to all races, tests, and other events as schedule dictates • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- CDL-A License
- 0-3 years CDL-A driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Clean Driving Record
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and drug screen
