Description
Join our team and play a critical role in ensuring peak performance on the track! As a key contributor to the IMSA team, you'll oversee the assembly, inspection, maintenance, and inventory management of our racecar gearboxes, ensuring they are always race-ready. You'll also track gearbox mileage and collaborate closely with the RLL gearbox department to implement best practices that uphold the highest standards of safety and reliability. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, inspect, maintain and rebuild race team gearboxes and differentials.
- Assemble / prepare new gearboxes and castings.
- Track mileage of gearbox components. Organize and stock spares inventory.
- Crack check gearbox parts and casings.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency in analysis and reporting is necessary.
- Extensive travel (>50%), including team tests, races, and other events as directed.
- There will be periods of long hours, including endurance events lasting twenty-four hours.
- Understanding and compliance of IMSA HV operations and safety protocol.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Required:
- Minimum 3 years of gearbox assembly / maintenance with IndyCar, LMP2, or similar.
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel knowledge and experience.
- Team player.
- Attention to detail, organized, and able to multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Must be able to handle pressure and deliver under tight time constraints
Preferred:
- Dyno and test bench experience.
- Data analysis experience.
- Previous high level motorsport experience.
- Personnel and project management skills. Self-starter.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
