Purpose of the Role: This role will report to the Composite/Bodywork Manager of Arrow McLaren. As a member of our Composites team, you will be responsible for building out our capabilities, processes, and training team members.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Experience Making composite parts from design to final car fitment.
- Mold manufacture/ building, repair, and inspection.
- Knowledge of body fit, trimming, and bonding.
- Experience with Prepreg, wet layup, and press molding composite parts.
- Help Build, train, and mentor other team members with composites skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work with engineering to provide feedback and design/ manufacturing input.
- Help establish, embrace, and influence a culture that carries out the team’s values: innovative, respectful, inclusive, brave, and energetic.
- Innovate and act on growth objectives, pipelining opportunities, and enterprise sustainability goals, and advocate for DE&I immersion.
- Must be willing to travel to all races and tests if needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Strong people skills and positive demeanour with a genuine interest in developing talent and team cohesion.
- Demonstrate good work habits, punctuality, attendance, and maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work environment.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to balance projects.
- Experience with top-class composite manufacturing methods and materials.
- 2+ Years experience in Motorsports composites or aerospace.
- Able to lift 50 lbs, standing most of the shift and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled use of hand tools and power tools.
- High School Diploma/ GED
