Are you an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for motorsport? Do you have experience in maintaining and servicing garage and pit equipment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Chief Garage Technician to join our Academy Team here at Williams Racing. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the Academy Teams’ garage and pit equipment. Your core responsibilities will include maintaining, servicing, and logging all off-car kit and service requirements, as well as loading and unloading pit equipment and race car items. You will ensure all event kits are packed and stored correctly for transport by land, sea, and air.
As the Chief Garage Technician for our Academy Team, your key responsibilities will be:
Preparing, loading, and documenting equipment that is transported by land, sea & air for each Academy event.
Responsibility for garage technician disciplines; fuel, tyres, and garage electrical installation, alongside planning and preparing the garage ready for track running days.
Continuously seek ways to improve efficiencies, promote new ideas and implement them to enhance customer satisfaction and Cost Cap efficiencies.
There is potential to allocate up to 10% of your time to the F1 racing calendar.
We are looking for an Academy Team Chief Garage Technician with the following skills and experience:
An enthusiastic self-starter, with an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Self-sufficient, able to independently take responsibility for completing tasks and objectives.
Experience in loading and securing valuable freight by land, sea, and air.
Previous motor sport experience as a garage technician is essential, ideally being responsible for either Tyres, Fuel or Electrical installation.
A team player who is comfortable working with internal and external entities.
Able to adopt a flexible approach to working hours during events and peak times.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, Outlook, Excel & Word
Impeccable attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.
Willingness to travel to events internationally.
