The Role
Our Level 3 Model Shop apprentice programme offers you the chance to join a learning environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience in a variety of pathways across the Model Shop team. This team is a critical part of the Aerodynamics group, where we transform innovative ideas and concepts into precisely crafted components for wind tunnel testing. This role will start from September 2025.
You will work closely with Aero, Design, and Production teams to deliver high-quality development parts that play a key role in enhancing the car’s aerodynamic performance. This role will involve diverse experiences, from interpreting technical designs to using various materials and techniques in model assembly. You’ll be involved in processing, assembling, and testing wind tunnel models to exacting standards. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will:
- Learn advanced manufacturing techniques: Use a range of materials, from metals to composites, to build models with precise detail.
- Develop technical and practical skills: Gain experience in setting up, calibrating, and operating machinery and equipment specific to model assembly.
