The Research and Development (R&D) Intern will help the Technology team characterise various lubricating greases and assist in R&D activities.
What you'll do
The R&D Intern will be responsible for characterisation of greases for commercial activities support, characterisation of greases to support R&D activities, R&D related materials synthesis, evaluating/screening commercial raw materials and additives for various projects, processing/recording data from commercial and R&D activities as required, assisting in addressing customer related issues/field problems, maintenance of testing equipment and materials, getting familiar with our VLIMS system to collect and record data, performing data analysis and communication with formulators and scientists, and other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What you need
- Currently enrolled in a Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering college program
- Good team work mentality
- Good communication skills
- Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs
