Hendrick Motorsports, a championship-winning NASCAR operation, is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Account Executive responsible for the successful management of all business aspects related to their assigned corporate partners and properties. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of working strategically, fostering strong professional relationships, proactively managing corporate partnerships, offering best-in-class service, and possessing excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. The role requires the candidate to be team-oriented, highly organized, decisive and demonstrate a high level of ingenuity, integrity and accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Account Executive will work closely on a day-to-day basis with their clients to leverage sponsorship and sports marketing programs to meet objectives while creating opportunities to bring additional value to corporate partners
- Day-to-day lead on regular interaction and communication with sponsor representatives and team executives, drivers and personnel
- Provide strategic guidance on all program objectives
- Marshal appropriate resources to support partner programs by closely collaborating with all internal marketing colleagues and teams, including communications, content and creative services
- Schedule and execute requested sponsor appearances, production days and other deliverables
- Collaborate with drivers and team competition personnel to align schedules, team assets and partner deliverables
- Approve advertisements, point-of-sale items and other promotional materials
- Support the development of artwork and approval processes related to team assets and other partner-centric material; ensure all brand standards, logos and other marks/elements are appropriately applied
- Work with team personnel to execute timely delivery of all materials required for team operations, including paint scheme designs and crew apparel/uniforms
- Develop and implement internal incentive-related programs for corporate partners
- Collaborate with business development team to foster new business opportunities/relationships; facilitate the proper on-boarding of new corporate partners
- Secure tickets, credentials and other requested track assets for corporate partners
- Coordinate and facilitate at-track hosting of VIP partner guests
- Host and/or facilitate team facility tours and at-track garage tours, meet-and-greets and other appearances
- Support at-track team and partner activation; frequent travel is required for this position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (four-year college): Required
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in an account management position
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of products
- Working knowledge of the social media and digital content landscape as it relates to marketing activation
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; impeccable communicator
- Strong strategic, critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage agency and vendor relationships
- Expert knowledge of industry trends, marketing activation techniques and tactics
- Track record of successfully managing sports marketing programs
- Manage and meet all timelines/deadlines
