Background:
Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the Andretti Global team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E; and has collaborations in Extreme E as Andretti Altawkilat Extreme E and Australian Supercars as Walkinshaw Andretti United. Purpose of the Role:
The Manager of Partnerships is a critical role within the organization as a primary point of contact with sponsor partners. This role requires participation in generating ideas around sponsor strategies and activations while also supporting the brand and marketing team with approvals and overall brand management. The Manager must possess strong organizational skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple stakeholders and work streams.
Role Dimension:
You’ll be based at our HQ in Indianapolis*, Indiana, and will be required to travel to the majority of INDYCAR events and possibly additional events outside of the INDYCAR schedule. You'll be reporting to the Director of Partnerships but need to build strong relationships with people across the wider Partnerships, Communications and Marketing team. There may be some flexibility with working hours and travel required to fulfil this role effectively.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead the planning and execution, including administration of all sponsorship deliverables for your designated partners
- Have a strong understanding of the partner goals and objectives to help with season long planning and discover areas of opportunity to further strengthen the relationship
- Implement programs that assist partners in achieving their objectives through use of sponsorship assets at events, in race market and out of race market to help drive brand value
- Assist in idea generation and problem resolution to maximize results, often collaborating with colleagues across the department for best results
- Collaborate across all internal functions – design, content, communications and activations to ensure fully integrated and successful programs
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with partners, becoming a trusted resource
- Work with brand and marketing team on approvals including but not limited to car liveries, pit equipment, transporters, scale model cars etc.
- Assist with planning of Andretti Global initiatives including team-wide events and marketing programs, in collaboration with the wider Commercial team
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sponsorship asset planning and execution, both through traditional marketing channels and in live event environments
- Have a general understanding and interest in motorsport sponsorships
- Must demonstrate leadership, strategic thinking, independence, proactiveness, and ownership, embracing both big-picture objectives and following through on details
- A strong collaborator who can maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- High degree of integrity and the ability to operate with discretion, confidentiality, and poise under pressure

- Required frequent travel within the US and occasional international travel

The physical demands at a racetrack environment frequently includes standing and walking for extended periods, navigating various areas of the racetrack (including uneven surfaces, elevated platforms, and restricted areas), and working in various weather conditions.
- This role occasionally requires lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- This role regularly performs tasks that require close and distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Regular use of a computer monitor is required.
- This position requires employee to be able to participate in conversations and discussions in different environments and various settings, including one-on-one interactions, group meetings, and over the phone.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. This role may be involved with several people and projects at one time and be interrupted frequently.
- The role is in an office area of an auto shop as well as onsite at racetracks and other event venues. The work environment can be described as “busy”, “noisy”, and "loud" and will require excellent organizational and time and stress management skills to complete tasks.
*This position is currently based in Indianapolis, IN but please note that it will be relocating to Fishers, IN in 2025.
