Summary: The Apparel Program Manager is responsible for executing a range of responsibilities for corporate and track apparel – processing purchase orders, product receiving, warehousing inventory, and systems management. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships internally and with suppliers/vendors, serving as the point of contact for all campus and track apparel needs. Key functions of this role include quantity forecasting, process development, vendor account management, inventory systems management, and budgetary control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Lead operational processes to acquire, inventory, and distribute apparel varieties and other branded product.
- Administer purchasing procedures including requisition, purchase order issuance, order status monitoring/expediting, receiving, and billing statements.
- Build, foster, and maintain positive relationships with supplier base and internal network.
- Directly manage primary accounts and apparel partnerships, including corporate apparel partner(s), corporate uniform partner(s), and track apparel partner(s).
- Execute purchase transactions and activity reporting in D365 ERP system.
- Lead RFP/RFQ processes, vendor selection process, and price negotiations.
- Prepare product forecasts, accounting for seasonal or market conditions and internal trends and requirements.
- Perform scope of activity analysis for expense/budget control and replenishment planning.
- Resolve issues with supplier – delivery, pricing, product quality.
- Oversee return and replacement of damaged or rejected product.
- Assist with budget development for active and developing apparel programs.
- Assume lead role in product selection, product changes, and/or apparel program launches.
- Develop effective distribution procedures and policies and coordinate seasonal distribution events.
- Understand internal account structure and corporate purchasing policies.
- Lead implementation of barcoded/ tracked inventory system and elevate physical storage concepts.
- Coordinate routine services such as dry cleaning and alteration.
- Responsible for understanding brand standards and adhering to art development and release protocols.
- Responsible for understanding partnership and product agreements, and monitoring activity/spend in applicable circumstances.
- Responsible for being up-to-date and knowledgeable of all safety standards and compliance related to [track] apparel.
- Prepare presentations and analysis as requested by management.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ related experience preferred Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically inventory management is required. Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing structure in otherwise flexible/fluid operations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to persist and succeed with cross-functional communication within scope of responsibility. Must have independent problem-solving skills and the discipline to follow-up and follow through until problems are resolved.

Computer Skills:
Intermediate knowledge in Excel and spreadsheet creation. Functional knowledge of ERP system and time tracking applications, with ability to become super user of core programs used in operation.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Strong written and oral communication skills are required
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand, walk, manually manipulate, reach outward, reach above shoulder level, and lift/carry up to 50+ pounds frequently. This position will frequently push/pull up to 100 pounds. This position will occasionally sit, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed primarily indoors. May have some outdoor exposure. May have exposure to loud noises and fumes. Frequently interacts with managers, employees, partners, and vendors.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
