Quality Inspector/Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Conduct testing and inspection to evaluate the quality of inbound, in process, and finished goods. Testing and inspection may include measurement to specification, weld quality (destructive/non-destructive), functional testing, feature presence, defect identification, and surface finish acceptance.

Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of inbound materials or components, in-process sub-assemblies, in-process components, finished assemblies, and finished components.
Monitor testing and inspection procedures to ensure that all work is performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
Responsible for reading and interpreting drawings or other forms of documented information to ensure compliance to specifications.
Reporting and documenting processes and outcomes of testing and inspection procedures.
Identifying, tagging and notifying appropriate parties when parts or components are non-conforming.
Calibrate, validate, or maintain equipment used for testing and inspection of parts and components. Equipment being utilized includes Portable CMM, Stationary CMM, Laser Scanners, Laser Etcher, Hardness Tester, Hand Tools and Gauges.
Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
Interpret testing and inspection results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
Serve as a technical liaison between quality control and other departments, vendors, or contractors.
Operate within, and maintain compliance to, ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Preferred Education: 2-year technical associate’s degree
Experience: 1 plus years of quality experience
Computer Skills: Basic Computer skills. Prefer experience utilizing measurement related software. CMM programming experienced preferred. Computer programming experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed. Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively with other department and organization team members.
