About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Operations Project Manager to join our team.
The Marketing Operations Projects Manager is responsible for the management, design, operational planning and delivery of the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Paddock Club suites and hospitality kits.
An integral part of this role will require a strong understanding of guest experience, flow, interior and spatial design to create environments that deliver to the highest level of event hospitality in sport for our guests and partners.
The role will involve end-to-end management of the suite assets from budgeting, design, pre-production, installation and post-event reporting.
Close coordination and collaboration will be required with the design and hospitality departments, along with the management of our supplier network to ensure consistent delivery throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
Project management of Mercedes AMG PETRONAS Paddock Club assets including suite design, production, logistics and installation throughout the season.
Interior and spatial design.
Pre-production planning.
Inventory management of assets including maintenance and repairs.
Weekly status meetings with key stakeholders, Formula 1, internal departments, and suppliers.
Briefing and management of freight logistics and routings (kit rotations, loading, departures, customs and carnets).
Attendance at suite races to oversee build, sign-off and handover to Hospitality lead.
Weekly reporting to line manager on progress, operations, timelines and financial tracking.
Innovation and implementation of processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
Budget management; financial forecasting, tracking, raising purchase orders and reporting.
Continuous improvement through post-event reports, asset utilisation and set up guides.
Gifting programme planning, freight and delivery.
Ad-hoc support to the Events Team for off-track event briefs and activations.
Essential Skills:
Extensive experience in event management, production and operations.
Experience managing large scale events and experiential projects and budgets.
You will thrive on working in a fast paced always-on environment.
Highly organised and proactive.
High attention to detail.
Good decision making and judgement under pressure.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.
Experience managing external suppliers, agencies or experience working in an agency is advantageous.
Ability to work independently whilst providing general support to the wider Projects Team to ensure the highest level of guest experience in Formula 1.
Maintain excellent working relationships with the marketing team, wider colleagues, industry stakeholders and suppliers.
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience and proven competence of working in a project manager role in the sport and entertainment industry, preferably with experience in event production and design and be able to demonstrate relevant business-related skills and qualifications.
You will thrive on working in a fast-paced, busy environment, possess excellent communication skills and have high levels of drive to be able to make decisions and lead within a pressurised environment.
You will have first-class organisational and time management skills and an acute attention to detail.
The candidate will bring personality and creativity to this challenging role and be highly motivated to deliver against agreed targets.
Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with the ability to work under minimum supervision with a "can do" team attitude. The role will involve a mix of hybrid and on-site work, with travel to meetings and events as required.
