Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
In this role, you will drive process engineering and hands-on production support across semiconductor backend assembly to ensure robust, efficient, and high‑quality manufacturing while minimizing line disruptions.
- Perform process engineering and production support in semiconductor backend processes (Die Attach, Interconnect, Encapsulation, Visual Inspection – automated and manual)
- Collaborate across Manufacturing, Maintenance, Unit Process Development, Process Integration, and Quality to resolve production and quality issues and minimize line disruptions
- Support equipment and tool installations as well as process and technology transfers, following standard business processes and meeting company targets
- Plan and implement cost reduction, quality improvement, and excursion prevention projects
- Analyze and optimize process parameters to improve quality and efficiency and ensure process robustness using tools such as SPC, FMEA, APC, 8D, Six Sigma, and DoE
- Manage recipe and procedural control
- Develop and maintain process and operation specifications and define responses to out-of-control situations
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
You are an energetic, goal‑oriented professional who stays focused on quality under pressure. You work autonomously and methodically, think critically, implement effective corrective actions, and communicate clearly while fostering strong teamwork in an international environment.
- Degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., physics, mechanical, electrical, microsystems engineering or related fields) – must have
- At least 3 years of experience in process engineering, characterization, and stabilization, ideally within semiconductor assembly processes – must have
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or in research and development – nice to have
- Good analytical and data analysis skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively at an international level
- Willingness to be internationally mobile and to work in an intercultural environment
- Fluency in English and Portuguese – both written and spoken (mandatory
