We're looking for a Product Manager to own our GitHub platform and developer discovery experience. Developers choose a silicon platform based on the software, tools, and content around it, so how easily they can find and use our software directly shapes product success. You'll own that experience by making our GitHub presence a place that developers trust and making our software easy to find.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role :
• Own the company GitHub organization as a developer discovery surface with curated code examples, well-maintained SDKs, clean repository hygiene, and a tagging and lifecycle discipline where releases, issues, and tags all signal health.• Set the quality bar for repositories and documentation, so a developer can go from landing on a repo to a working first-run example fast.• Improve the path from discovery to acquisition; how developers find, download, and start using our software across GitHub and adjacent surfaces.• Instrument the funnel (find → acquire → first successful build), find where it breaks, and drive the fixes.• Partner across engineering, content, analytics, and product teams to get artifacts published, tagged, and kept alive.• Talk to developers regularly, test assumptions before building, and iterate.
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed :
• 5+ years in product management, with depth in developer tools, developer experience, open-source program management, package/artifact registries, or platform products.• Experience building or turning around a developer discovery or acquisition surface, e.g. running a company's GitHub organization, building a developer portal, standing up an SDK or samples program, or fixing a broken download and documentation experience.• Strong GitHub fluency as a product surface: repository hygiene, Actions, releases, tagging and lifecycle, Discussions.• Enough technical grounding to judge whether a repository is good. Comfortable with SDKs, code samples, and build systems.• Fluent with product instrumentation and analytics.• Autonomous. You find the problems, form the diagnosis, and drive the solution across teams. Comfortable with ambiguity and influencing without authority.• Background in the embedded or silicon ecosystem (MCU, SDKs, toolchains such as STM32, ESP-IDF, Nordic, Renesas, or similar).• Open-source community building.• Familiarity with developer-portal catalog frameworks such as Backstage.• Experience distributing software under licensing or export-control constraints.
