Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Development of Power Devices characterization methods
- Design, development, operation and maintenance of technical systems for characterization of Si, SiC and GaN HV Power Transistors
- Documentation of design specifications, test procedures and compliance reports
- Characterization of Power Devices for Technology and Product Development, Modelling, Application Engineering and Competitor Analysis
- Cross-collaboration with Product Development, Technical Marketing and System Engineering groups
- Act as a technical lead, providing technical guidance to the CV community
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics, focused on electronic systems, instrumentation or related fields, with at least 6 years of experience in Hardware Development in a lab environment
- PCB Design expertise for analog, digital and mixed-signal applications, with focus on Power Electronics, including component selection, layout optimization and signal integrity
- Parasitics extraction & analysis using ANSYS tools, including modeling of stray capacitance and inductance for performance optimization
- Deep knowledge of Power Electronics devices, including HV Si, SiC and GaN transistors, combined with SPICE simulation (SIMetrix) for predictive validation before prototyping
- Characterization & test infrastructure design, capable of developing continuous operation test stations for device characterization under extended stress conditions, plus strong lab skills for hardware performance evaluation
- Problem solving and cross-functional collaboration, with strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex hardware issues, working closely with Product Development, Technical Marketing and System Engineering teams
- Documentation & communication, including design specifications, test procedures and compliance reports, combined with technical leadership, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
