Internship for Autonomous Factory - System/Software Engineer
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Bridge Hardware and Software: Connect physical factory equipment to digital networks using Python, edge devices, or direct PLC and database connections
- Support Full-Stack Upgrades: Help build and maintain internal factory web applications and dashboards.
- Manage Data Pipelines: Write queries and extract log files to ensure accurate data flow into systems like MySQL, Oracle, or Elasticsearch
- Participate in Agile Sprints: Join periodic stand-ups and collaborate with the engineering team to deliver software modules
- Translate Technical Concepts: Create simple visual models and presentations that explain technical shop-floor data to management teams
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, IT or any related fields
- Minimum CGPA 3.00 and above
- Industrial Connectivity: Willing to learn and/or exposure to factory equipment integration (SECS/GEM methodology) or alternative methods(PLC, RPA, BUS, or external sensors)
- Edge & Programming: Hands-on experience with Python, AI/ML methods
- Software Development: Exposure to building applications using modern languages (Python, Java, C#, or C++) and JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular)
- Data Management: Basic knowledge of databases like MySQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch, or direct logfile extraction
- Modern Workflows: Familiarity with Agile practices and basic exposure to server/cloud platforms (e.g., OpenShift)
