The Program Manager manages all aspects of program development from concept through launch, ensuring successful execution in timing, engineering, testing, quality, and profitability.
Key responsibilities include overseeing program execution to achieve the organisation's strategic goals, defining scope, setting goals, creating roadmaps and timelines, and overseeing the execution to ensure all milestones and budgeted targets are achieved.
The Program Manager will also identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure all efforts align with objectives.
Additional responsibilities include allocating resources effectively across the various teams, managing program budgets, and tracking spending.
The Program Manager will also identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, resolve conflicts, track open issues, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Other key responsibilities include keeping all stakeholders informed of program progress, status, and any issues, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program success and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
The Program Manager will champion the quoting process (including timing and deliverables) for prototypes and production, lead design-for-manufacturing initiatives, and provide ongoing feedback to stakeholders.
The Program Manager will also manage all testing and prototype related activities ensuring standards and maintained and requirements met.
Responsibilities also include overseeing kickoff and approval of purchased components, tooling, gauges, and fixtures, participating in specification, sourcing, and negotiation of assembly and tooling contracts in collaboration with Process Engineering.
The Program Manager will approve tooling and line equipment for payment after successful in-house trials, arrange and authorise packaging development with packaging and process engineering teams.
The Program Manager will also coordinate process sign-off and ensure readiness for production, work with the Quality Department to prepare and review PPAP submissions.
Initiating and coordinating new program releases and engineering changes through the production ECN system, ensuring containment and stabilisation of new processes and parts prior to full production.
Additionally, the Program Manager will participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, product drawings, control plans, and design reviews.
The Program Manager will liaise directly with customers (engineering, purchasing, project teams) regarding feasibility, risks, and the Statement of Work.
Ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and applicable customer specific requirements.
Working in a safe manner at all times, adopting, practicing, and supporting Kaizen principles and concepts including GEAR activities.
Following all Company procedures and policies and working in compliance and conform to standards.
Performing other duties as assigned.
