Role Overview:
Key responsabilities:
1. Serial Life Unit Management
Lead and manage the serial life team for HVAC and Engine systems components.
Define individual and collective objectives aligned with Quality, Cost, and Delivery priorities.
Manage workload, skills development, and the team’s technical maturity.
Ensure a high level of engagement, rigor, and on-time delivery in a demanding serial production environment.
2. Design Release Engineer (DRE) Leadership
Supervise and lead Design Release Engineers responsible for serial life activities.
Ensure effective execution of DRE responsibilities, including:
Serial life quality issue resolution
Product robustness and technical definition
Supplier follow-up
Challenge technical analyses and arbitrate proposed solutions.
Ensure overall technical consistency across HVAC and Engine Systems component scopes.
Drive DRE skills development and their integration into global expert networks.
3. Serial Life Quality Issue Management
Take ownership of critical quality topics related to engine mechanical components.
Structure and validate root cause analyses (8D, QRQC, KT, Shainin, etc.).
Ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions (ICA & PCA).
Guarantee non-recurrence and proper capitalization of lessons learned.
4. Supplier Management
Lead technical supplier relationships together with the DRE team within the mechanical component scope.
Challenge supplier technical files and action plans.
Ensure supplier commitment and performance regarding Quality, Delivery, and Product Robustness.
Support supplier escalations and technical arbitration in case of deviations.
5. APQP and Serial Life Robustness
Ensure proper application and compliance with APQP requirements during serial life.
Monitor and control product and process risks for mechanical components.
Track key characteristics and sensitive serial life parameters.
Act as the guarantor of long-term technical robustness of deployed solutions.
6. Cost of Non-Quality Management (Total Warranty Spending)
Monitor and manage Total Warranty Spending for the HVAC and Engine systems scope.
Identify technical levers to reduce warranty costs.
Prioritize high-impact quality and cost-reduction actions.
Provide clear and fact-based reporting to management.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination & Reporting
Act as the main interface with:
Engine projects
Quality
Manufacturing
Product engineering
Purchasing
Lead serial life reviews and perimeter technical committees.
Provide a clear, proactive, and fact-based overview of serial life status.
Serve as the managerial and technical escalation point for HVAC and Engines Systems.

Candidate Profile
Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5 equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Powertrain Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 8 years in automotive engineering with management experience.
Languages:
Fluent French
