We are seeking a Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to join our growing engineering team to develop a range of ISO 26262 compliant automotive electronics products. You will be part of a highly capable team split between Cambridge (UK) and Toronto (Canada) and will have the opportunity to be involved in all stages of product development from concept through to end of life.
The ideal candidate will have experience in electronic hardware design, with a good grounding in embedded systems. They should have previously designed products for manufacture, ideally in an automotive environment, and be used to working to deadlines and communicating well.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting architectural development of electronic systems
- Capturing requirements for electronics hardware
- Creating detailed schematics
- Conducting design analysis using appropriate methods
- Creating PCB layout guidelines
- Commissioning, verifying and validating testing of the hardware
- Documenting designs observing internal, industry and customer standards and processes
Collaboration with manufacturing divisions and external CEM partners will also be required.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of design for manufacture, design for test, and design for qualification.
Preferred qualifications include a degree in electronics engineering or a closely related discipline, and at least 5-10 years of experience in the automotive or similar regulated industry.
